NEW PATTERN | Baby bonnet with earflaps in 5 sizes

I finally did it!
Although I designed this baby bonnet years ago, it took me forever to write down the pattern.

But while procrastinating, I did design a baby kimono and a baby blanket, so I would say I used my time well enough.

What took me so long? Well I needed to learn how to create different sizes and how to write it down. With the help of lovely testers that I met on Instagram, I am now confident enough to publish this new pattern. It features 5 sizes: preemie, 0 - 3 months, 3 - 6 months, 6 - 9 months and 9 - 12 months.

You can find the 10-page pdf pattern (in Dutch and in English) with lots of photos on Etsy, Ravelry and LoveCrafts. I tried to keep the pattern as simple as possible. With just two balls of yarn you can create the perfect baby shower gift in less than a couple of hours.

The yarn I used was generously sponsored by Durable. I worked with Durable Cosy Fine which is soft and easy to work with. There are lots of colors to choose from. But any yarn that is suitable for a 4 - 4,5 mm hook would work too.

Can't wait to see everyone's version on social media. Don't forget to use #goedidbabybonnet, so I can see it!

Till next time.

FREE PATTERN | Crochet baby blanket

To match the simplicity of the baby kimono, I have designed a very easy pattern for a baby blanket. You can make it with any yarn and in any color combination.
It has a wonderful drape as it is crocheted on the bias, and that's exactly the feature that makes it an interesting and anything but boring design.

I am offering this pattern for free, but if you want to have a printable and extensive pattern description with lots of step-by-step photos, you can find the pdf in my Ravelry or Etsy store. The pattern is available in English and Dutch.

Enjoy crocheting this blanket! I look forward to your version (on Instagram, use #goedidbabyblanket).
